Ensuring Supportive Housing
for Adults with Disabilities

Housing Opportunities

Community Homes, Inc. believes that ALL adults with developmental disabilities deserve the opportunity to thrive in a quality, safe, community-based home.

Our Adult Family Home Model

Adult Family Homes provide community-based living for adults with developmental disabilities. Each home has a live-in care provider and five residents. We currently have seven adult family homes in east King County, Washington, located in the cities of Bellevue, Redmond, Bothell, and Woodinville. Our Medicaid-funded homes provide supportive living environments, ensuring life-long learning, healthy lifestyles and meaningful community participation.

Our Shared Living Model

Community Homes, Inc. has collaborated with Partners4Housing™ to develop shared living households for residents who want an alternative to adult family homes. These homes bring together 2 to 3 adults with disabilities and a care provider. Funding comes from Section 8 housing vouchers and Medicaid™ personal care. This model can accommodate residents with a wide range of personal care needs.

Our first shared living house opened in Bellevue in 2014. We have participated in the development of an additional five households throughout King County.

Our Housing Education Series

In 2017 we launched our Housing Readiness Workshop series. These workshops are designed to help families learn more about the housing journey. Our next workshop will be in late spring. Whether you are just starting to learn about housing or you are ready to access supportive, community-based housing for a family member, we can help.
