A Place to Grow, Belong, and Thrive

At Community Homes, we know families want peace of mind. For nearly 30 years, we’ve provided exceptional community-based housing for adults with developmental disabilities, where residents live rich, full lives. Our homes are small and personal, never institutional. Each home is part of a local neighborhood where residents feel connected and at home.

Our housing models offers residents support and stability so they can build connections, grow their independence, and feel a sense of belonging.

You Don’t Have to Figure It Out Alone

We help families plan for the future with support every step of the way.
There is a path forward and you don’t have to walk it by yourself.
Community Homes is here to help if you’re:

  • Planning ahead for a loved one’s housing needs
  • Facing a transition or unexpected change
  • Revitalizing a household that’s struggling
  • Looking to repurpose an existing home for housing adults with developmental disabilities

We’d love to talk with you about your next steps!

Families Often Ask Us…

How do I know if my loved one is ready?

Many families start planning years in advance. You don’t have to be ready today — attending an Info Session is a simple first step.

Can we stay involved once our loved one moves?

Absolutely. Families are our closest partners. You’ll continue to play a key role—supporting your loved one by managing disability benefits, personal finances, medical appointments and prescriptions, and maintaining regular connection through visits and family gatherings. We’ll help you stay involved in meaningful ways.

What if we’ve had a bad experience before?

You’re not alone. We work with families who are planning ahead, navigating transitions, or determined to find the right fit after a failed housing experience.

What housing models does Community Homes offer?

Community Homes is a leading community organization that owns or leases homes in places like Bellevue, Bothell, Woodinville, Newcastle, and Shoreline. We offer two types of housing:

Our Adult Family Homes are run by licensed, live-in providers who lease from us and offers hands-on support to meet each resident’s unique strengths, preferences, and routines.

Shared Living (SL)
Our Shared Living homes are a place where residents actively share responsibility and shape daily life together with the help of a live-in caregiver who cultivates connection and offers support.

Can Community Homes help me create new housing or revitalize struggling households?

Community Homes prides itself on creating stable, exceptional community-based homes. We are always exploring opportunities to partner and expand our housing options including through partnerships with people who own property or are operating a struggling household.
